Peltola Lies
When you don’t have a record to run on,
you build your campaign on lies.

And that’s exactly what Peltola and her far-left allies are doing, taking these disgusting attacks to a new level. Here are some of Peltola’s shameful lies, and the facts:
Senator Dan Sullivan is a man of service, a devoted family man, a Marine, and a man of honor. When Democrats can’t compete with his record of delivering for Alaska, they resort to personal attacks and character assassination. They do it every six years. But this time, it’s even worse because Mary Peltola has no record to run on and she is backed by and beholden to Lower 48 liberals.
When you don’t have a record to run on, you build your campaign on lies. And that’s exactly what Peltola and her far-left allies are doing, taking these disgusting attacks to a new level. Here are some of Peltola’s shameful lies, and the facts:
“Senator Sullivan violated insider trading laws.”
Completely false.
Fact:
Senator Sullivan has always followed strict Senate Ethics rules. His investments are kept in broad-based mutual funds, where he has no ability to personally direct individual stock trades.
After Sullivan’s parents died, he and his siblings received some individual stocks, which were almost immediately sold by third-party advisers acting independently and without Sullivan’s knowledge. Once Sullivan learned about the sales, he immediately filed the required Senate disclosure forms. There were no penalties or charges assessed.
The Bottom Line:
There was no insider trading. The transactions were handled by outside advisers, and the required disclosures were filed.
In fact, Sullivan co-sponsored the Stop Insider Trading Act, which calls for members of Congress and their families to be banned from trading individual stocks while serving the American people. He tried to pass the bill in the Senate, but it was blocked by the Democrats.
PELTOLA’S TROUBLING RECORD:
Peltola’s campaign is funding her lavish lifestyle by paying her a salary while she runs for office. After being voted out of office in 2024, she became a D.C. lobbyist, making close to a half million dollars a year trading on her insider knowledge of Congress.
“Sullivan cast the deciding vote to keep the Epstein files hidden.”
Completely false.
Fact:
Senator Sullivan voted in support of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which became law. He has consistently supported releasing the Epstein files and bringing transparency to the American people, while protecting survivors’ identities. FactCheck.org concluded that Peltola’s claim that Sullivan cast the “deciding vote” to keep the Epstein files hidden was a lie.
A Record of Advocating for Survivors:
For more than 15 years, Sullivan has brought awareness and solutions to combat domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking while expanding resources and legal protections for survivors.
PELTOLA’S TROUBLING RECORD:
Peltola accepted more than $140,000 in donations from Epstein associates — including people who dined with Jeffrey Epstein, flew on his private jet, and visited his island — all of which helped fund her own lavish lifestyle and salary.
“Sullivan’s personal wealth has quadrupled in his two terms in office.”
Completely false.
Fact:
Sullivan didn’t get rich off his Senate seat and has followed all Senate Ethics rules. His personal funds are invested in the same kinds of broad-based mutual funds available to millions of Americans — and those investments grew with the U.S. stock market.
Even the Alaska Public Media reported that “if you invested in a broad-based mutual fund when Sullivan was sworn in you’d have roughly quadrupled your money” over the same period.
That’s not corruption. That’s long-term investing in a growing American economy.
PELTOLA’S TROUBLING RECORD:
There’s only one candidate getting rich off the American people: Mary Peltola. She pays herself a salary from her campaign — using donor money — to fund her lavish lifestyle. Campaign-finance reports show Peltola’s campaign salary is more than $5,500 per month. She also became a D.C. lobbyist, making close to a half million dollars a year trading on her insider knowledge of Congress.
“Senator Sullivan voted to cut Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security for Alaskans”
Completely false.
Fact:
Medicare and Social Security have not been cut and thanks to Sullivan, Alaska will receive hundreds of millions more dollars annually to support its Medicaid program. Any changes made to the Medicaid system had ZERO effect on Alaska.
Alaska has received additional federal support through Sullivan’s Rural Health Transformation Fund, which is bringing in $1.4 billion to Alaska to lower costs and strengthen health care across our state.
PELTOLA’S TROUBLING RECORD:
While Peltola falsely attacked Sullivan over misleading Medicaid claims, her own radical-left Democratic party fought against major health care provisions designed to help Alaska. Peltola is aligned with these socialist Democrats who want to hurt Alaska.
Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats tried to stop Alaska from getting MORE Medicaid funding. They also tried to strip out the Rural Health Transformation Fund that is now bringing hundreds of millions of dollars to Alaska’s health care system. Sullivan fought back and was able to stop them, protecting critical health care funding for Alaskans.
“The Working Families Tax Cut Act is a huge tax cut only for millionaires and billionaires.”
Completely false.
Fact:
The WFTCA does not lower the top marginal tax rate for the wealthiest Americans. The rate remains at 37%, meaning millionaires and billionaires will face the same top marginal tax rate as before.
In fact, it was designed to benefit working families and seniors.
- Prevented largest tax increase in U.S. history
- No Tax on Tips
- No Tax on Overtime
- Provides $6,000 deduction per senior
- $7.6k-$10.9k savings for family of four
- $2,200 Child Care Tax Credit
Senator Sullivan voted to take Medicaid away from people who need it most.
Completely false.
Fact:
The WFTCA made ZERO cuts to Medicaid in Alaska and actually strengthened Medicare access with a 2.5% “doc fix.” At the same time, it protects Medicaid for the people the program has traditionally served, including children, pregnant women, seniors, people with disabilities or serious medical needs, and certain caregivers.
The WFTCA now requires certain able-bodied adults without dependent children to work, volunteer, or attend school for at least 20 hours per week to remain eligible for certain benefits. If they get a job with health insurance and no longer need Medicaid, that’s a success — not the government taking their health care away.
Alaska Natives are exempt because a federal work requirement designed for the Lower 48 does not always fit remote rural Alaska, where jobs, training programs, and volunteer opportunities can be extremely limited.
PELTOLA’S TROUBLING RECORD:
Peltola is embracing the same scare tactics and far-left ideology of the Senate Democrats she is now beholden to instead of supporting common sense. Even Democratic President Bill Clinton embraced the same basic principle nearly 30 years ago: protect the safety net for people who need it, while encouraging able-bodied adults who can work to enter the workforce.
